Calling all Marvel United Fans who would like to spend some time helping to develop a 40K Themed Expansion to the Marvel United board Game. I've already received approval to develop this through a Club, which can be found here => Grim-Dark United.

I have several goals for this project;

 

Stage One: is to take the10 Series 1 and Series 2 Chibi Models by Bandai, and develop at least one Marvel United Compatible Hero / Villain / Anti-Hero deck for them. At this stage I'm wanting 7 Heroes, 2 Antiheroes, and 1 Villain.

Hero Decks- 12 cards 3-5 Special Effect Cards (3x Astartes, Sisters, Mechanicus, Scion, Commissar)

Villain Decks- 12 Villain Cards, 6 Threat Cards, 1 Villain Dashboard (Eversor Assassin)

Anti-Hero Decks- Both a 12 card Hero Deck, and a 18 Card Villain Deck, 1 Villain Dashboard (Grey Knight, Inquisitor)

6 Locations, 2 Hazardous Locations

Vertical and Horizontal Character Dividers

 

Stage Two: Develop Chapter Specific Special Effect Cards for ALL of the Chibi Marines Bandai have produced, including the Chibi XMas Calender.

 

Stage Three: Replace the Model images on the Charcter Cards with Artwork to match the Heroic, Move, and Attack actions. 

 

Stage Four: Develop a Rules Page, unique tokens, and new 40k-ifyed action symbols, potentially adding new symbol/s, and a new deck for each of the developed characters using the new 40k-ifyed symbols.

 

Stage Five: Develop additional Character decks using 3d Party models, such as Grimdark Cuteness.

 

SO, what have I already done?

 

I have already created base-card front and backs, and have already trimmed the Bandai models from their white backgrounds to be put onto the cards, here's the Inquisitor as an exmple;

I have also had a few thoughts on Special Abilites for the Space Marine Chapters, and here my bias for Dark Angels shows through,

 

Astartes Generic Skill 1- Transhuman Physiology - Card in Starting Hand- +1 card at end of villain turn, max 3 (Health re-gen).

Astartes Generic Skill 2- Bolter Drill - Place 1 Attack token on "Astartes" Card, gain +1 Attack in adjacent locations for each token on card.

Dark Angel Skill 1- Standard of Fortitude - Move toward closest Hechman or Villain and Attack.

Dark Angel Skill 2- Standard of Devastation - Immediately make one attack in Villains Location.

Dark Angel Skill 3- Standard of Retribution - On next Ally KO, Delay Villain turn by 1, take an Immediate turn.

 

Blood Angel Skill 1- Black Rage - Persistant, every Move action, MUST also make a free Attack action. If no Thugs / Henchmen / Villain is in Location, Attack a Hero or Discard a Civilian

Blood Angel Skill 2- Red Thirst - Last Card in Deck - When KO'd, on end Villain turn, Move counter-clockwise + 1 Attack in following priority order Thugs / Henchmen / Villain / Civilian / Hero until Revived

 

Salamanders Skill 1- Protector - Persistant, may use Fight Actions to Rescue Civilians

 

 

SO, what do I need help with?

 

Stage 1 and 2; 

I need people who have played or still play Marvel United, and are familiar with the Core Rules, and other Expansions so that play testing and balance can be completed.

Assistance in developing all of the Special Skills cards, and allocating an appropriate number Special, Move, and Attack actions to each card / Hero.

Special Effects, BAM, Overflow for Villain Dashboards

Choosing the 8 Locations and End of Turn Location Effects

 

Stage 3;

An artistically gifted person to develop 3 Chibi images of the 10 figures above, 1- Heroic Pose, 2- Moving/Dashing Pose, 3- Attacking Pose

All Astartes should feature the same 3 poses, but coloured to match Chapter colours, Chapter Badge will feature on Card front.

 

Stage 4 and 5; Repeat skills from steps 1,2, and 3.
