L30n1d4s
As I continue work through the new Codex, it still seems that Bullgryn are one of the only non-vehicle units that are durable enough to hold contested Objectives for an extended time and definitely the only infantry unit that has any real melee power. Taking all that into account, I am trying to figure out different ways to get the most out of them, via various buffs and synergies. So far I have following: Prefectus Orders: -Give them ObSec -Allow them to fall back and charge -Give them a 5+++ FNP vs MWs -Give them a 12" Deep Strike deny bubble Regimental Orders (Lord Solar only): -+2" Move or 6" auto advance -1 to hit/-1AP in melee -Light Cover for free (or -1 to hit them if they already have it) Psychic Powers: -Nightshroud - ranged attacks only hit them on a roll of 4-6 -Psychic Barrier- 5++ Invul Durability Buffs: -Aegis Defense Line can get them a 1+ save with an additional effect of worsening AP of attacks against them by 1 -Chimera and Valkyries can protect them from initial enemy shooting, as well as get the across the table quickly So, that's what I could find so far... what am I missing? I don't know of any Relics that affect them and the only Strats they can take either allow them to do MWs on the charge, or make attacks against other friendly units behind them less effective. Anyone out there finding other ways to better synergies their Bullgryn for maximum effectiveness in the new 9th edition book? Harrowmaster
You've got it covered I think, I did consider baribcant's key or bastium stellaris but they have to go to infantry squads.
