Adepticon experience questions

Hey y'all,

 

Just had a couple of questions since it looks like Adepticon will have the Phyrix narrative event that I want to take part in:

1) Do most players have a display board for their armies? I know from other events I've attended (AoS and friendly 40k) they are encouraged

2) What's the general consensus on Mars Pattern Rhinos? I have 2 Deimos Pattern Rhinos assembled and painted, and I was thinking of bringing one more rhino for a support squad, but it's a mars pattern, but it has Horus Heresy doors on them. I know there have been photos in the Black/Red books of v1 with the mars pattern showing up, but it's one of those models that seems the most 'on-the-fence' about since it was originally designed for 40k.

Most people don’t seem to mind Mars pattern things with Heresy doors. Although, the plastic deimos is out now and is rad!

Unless the event needs display boards for whatever reason, they have always seemed like a “that’s cool!!” More than “that’s required”. You probably want some way to move your models around though.

That's cool, just making sure that mars pattern vehicles aren't despised or frowned upon. I still have 2 deimos preds and 2 land raider proteus to assemble and paint, and if I can avoid another vehicle to buy/assemble/paint, that would be ideal.

Mars Pattern Rhinos are in the official artwork. Black book 3 Extermination for example has a Iron Warriors one as a picture. So no worries.
