I've been playing around with an idea for a kill team of Guardsmen who have become guerilla fighters cut off from their regiment, using ramshackle battle gear and jury rigged armour.

The Traitor Guard minis are fantastic and I knew I'd like to use them to depict this squad, but, I also really liked the Blood Bowl halfling heads. Their faces are so expressive and I like their "kitchenwear" so I've been looking for an excuse to do something interesting with them for ages. I hoped they'd add a bit of character to the unit.

I managed to snag some of the halfling heads to try out with the Traitor Guard's bodies, but I'm not all too sure about how they look.

I really like the way the "helmet" looks along with the ramshackle armour and furs, but I worry that the heads may look a tad too big, particularly when compared with a regular guardsmen.

On the tabletop, from a distance, they'll probably look how I want them to, but up close, they might look off.

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!

Hey great Idea, although i do see your thoughts and the head is slightly off  BUT.... I think it has a certain charm to it and hey its 40K !! you could say they got some rad exposure or there's something in the water or they are close to the Eye . as you said from a distance it looks good...

I think they have lots of character!!

Good Luck with whatever you decide to do!

Cheers, M
