Ulthwé march back to war, to escalation league and beyond!

It's taken me a while to get back to my Ulthwé army since I've been in Australia with my sister for a couple of months, I've been ill, and I was finishing off my Kroot army box. I was nagged by a friend to paint something Eldar for a change as I was about to start work on some Orks but sanity prevailed and I decided to tackle Maugan Ra.

I'm grabbing a quick game tomorrow. 

 

Apologies for the terrible lighting, but this is what I'm going for. For those that can't see I'll run through it briefly.

 

1x Avatar of Khaine

1x Jain Zar and the Banshees (Great band name!)

1x Maugan Ra and the Reapers (Clearly a different genre of music)

5x Fire Dragons

10x Warp Spiders Led by a jumpy Autarch with Fusion Gun

10x Guardians + Missile Launcher

10x Guardians + 40mm base wishing it was a Missile Launcher

3x Windriders

3x Windriders (plus some holograms, I forgot to take some off the table when making room in my army to squeeze the spiders in)

2x Lance War Walkers

1x Starcannon War Walker (Who is annoyed that GW kicked him out of the squadron with his mates and now he's sulking on his own)

1x Fire Prism (Warming up the Wave Motion Gun at the back)

 

I have no idea if this will work without any transports, but I'm limited by what models I can field. I don't have enough foot Guardians and Support Weapons to justify the Guardian Detachment and the Seer Council one is too complicated for me to start off with. I haven't even looked at fielding Aeldari since the codex dropped so a straightforward detachment was necessary.

 

The Dark Reapers are not finished and the Warp Spiders are stripped down to bare pewter and lead respectively so I can't even claim to have an all-painted force, but over all I think it will suffice until I can get more models painted. I have a Spiritseer and no painted Wraith units yet. I guess that's what happens when you like painting fancy Eldar psyker models.
