**Further delays on Games Workshop products**

We are sad to announce again that our deliveries from Games Workshop have not turned up barring 1 box of spray paints.

This includes all new releases (due for release on Feb 18th) and our restock order. Typically these land with us on a Wednesday giving us plenty of time to prep, pack and ship orders for release.

We are awaiting estimated delivery information on the existing restock order and the new releases order which were placed at the earliest time possible this week. We are still awaiting some stock from the World Eaters release.

New releases are continuing to release as normal next week, however once again there is no guarantee they will arrive with us when they are supposed to.

To make matters worse we have been informed that there will be no restock orders accepted next week to give their warehouse time to catch up. We are informing you of this as deliveries of any back-orders will likely face delays.

We are continuing to work with Games Workshop to resolve the situation but there has been no indication of when the situation is likely to be resolved only stating "technical difficulties" with their new warehouse system.

At present there is no written statement we can quote in relation to the most recent decisions but as we get more news we will let you know.

We do know this is affecting a large number of retailers, big and small so it is likely you will see similar messages multiple times. Whilst we are frustrated we know that there are many hard working individuals at Games Workshop and we know that many of them are personally working towards solutions, even outside of their regular work times. Please be patient with them, us and any other store you interact with. To that end we respectfully ask that you refrain from doomsaying, ranting or asking for order updates below (the best place is to email us at custserv@the-outpost.co.uk where our team can help). Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

That’s what I thought too but the Balefleet box I ordered has been delayed apparently.  I ordered it through a discount seller so maybe that’s why?

Wonder if maybe the issue is retail vs trade sales and the issue is only (or primarily) with trade sales? FWIW, my box did show up on time and with the right stuff. While I've never gotten the wrong stuff before, I've had a two month delay in shipping my order before.

On those IT issues, the site just exploded. Probably due to their brilliant idea to put several limited editions up at the same time and them being bombarded by scalpers trying to get their cut.

(Good on GW for FINALLY putting on a max 1 per order on those LE's)

Yeah, the site going down isn't wholly unexpected - but didn't they have a queue system a while back to limit the amount of traffic hitting their site during big release events (like HH Limited Edition novel releases)? Did they forget to switch it on, or forget to renew their licence for it. This is a big oops none the less, they'll be  a lot of pissed off people if it turns out they can't get their hands on the penultimate LE in a long series due to "Technical Difficulties"...

Yeah they haven't being using the queue for a few releases now. Think they stopped the license.

Queue-it, yes. But afaik that costs money, so we can all guess why it's no longer used.

That was awful. Luckily got the book I wanted. Two of my friends weren't so lucky. All of us logged on 10 mins before. Got the items in the basket by 0958ish. It took 16 mins to purchase. I've sent an email to GW expressing my disappointment surrounding Ltd edition releases. Every time there are issues and they have done very little to rectify the issue. The siege book is going for over £500 on ebay already. Its a joke and loyal customers are being left in the lurch.

I’ve sent a complaint via email this morning criticising their poor IT. First time I’ve ever complained to a company.

I tried that back with Mortis where they had similar issues and released it alongside another limited edition (Alpharius). Obviously they took it on board.

Yep, what a :cuss:

I was there, LEs in my cart but when finally the lag was gone and the site was up, it was too late "there is an item no longer available in your cart"

Oh well, I'm more sad than angry, I was worried to lose even the Dawn of Guard LE, since I already have all the series in LE. I did score that.

To hell all the rest.

Do not dodge the swear filter

I think these books should be sold in store instead of online. Might have more chance of getting one but I don’t know how they’d go about sorting this for future limited releases.

As someone not able to go to a GW store in person, I'd really prefer they didn't. But honestly the experience with the SoT series has put me off from ever trying to get anything limited edition from GW again. I hope I can complete this collection but after that I'm done.

Talk about strange; picked up the new Sky-Hunter Squadron at my LGS this morning and had a bit of a natter with the manager. The store is still missing orders (complete and parts-of) from the past two to three weekends, however Games Workshop have sent them everything that's slated to release next weekend already, i.e. the Attilan's, the Cadian upgrades, etc.

I could see them trying to get the scheduled stuff back on track, then iron out what's already messed up.

That's where my gut suspicion is leading right now; I know from chatting to my local Geedub manager that they've been more focused in maintaining existing stock rather than new releases recently, so I think you're hitting the mark there. Get the new releases sorted as a priority whilst they iron out other supply chain issues.

Geedub are an FTSE 100/250 company, with the infrastructure of a much, much worse company. The last few years will really have clogged them over the back of the head about that.
