Hi everybody

You have probably already seen I have made my own Boarding action terrain and I will have my first game on friday so i wanted to hear what your experiences have been with it so far?

Im playing my brothers Genestealer cult. He will for sure bring som Aborants and probably a Patriach. Thats all I know so far(not that I want to totally tailor my list to counter him).
Im thinking of going Uphold for the vow and list is so far:

Primaris Chaplain with Divine Protection

Assault intercessors with Fist of Balthus on the sergeant

Primaris Crusader squad which will split up:

2 Power fists, Swordbrother with Power sword and 2 Initiates with chainswords

4 Neophytes with Carbines and 1 Initiate with Bolter(for a little bit of shooting)

Assault Terminators with Thunderhammer and shields

So a good amount of bodies and a fair bit of melee power. Think I can stay on the objectives and Divine Protection + uphold can help keep my units safe(especially for the Terminators vs his Aborants).

Mostly just want to hear about your experiences so far :D

I dont like that the next books have extra rules and strats for the game. Id like it to be simple and not become bloated like normal 40k.

You cant take warlord traits but i assume you mean trademark enhancement. Im thinking of either the extra str and dmg or the reroll wounds.

I found in a game I played that accept any challenge came in really useful, it's also really unclear how the 'benefits of cover' rule from Uphold interacts with the cover rules in Boarding Actions. The section on the interaction in Abaddon made no sense to me at all.

Whereas, I found that combats last longer, because not every model can get into the action, so having the extra attacks from Accept came in really useful.

Yeah i have thought about that to. But i i really dont like that you cant fall back. Your opponent can use that against you.

But the idea of having more attacks in the longer fights is awesome! At least they cant how one for too long because of that
