Some humble pie to be eaten by some people about the wording for duplicating weapons on dk and cadian squads:laugh:

Not even a little humble pie. The wording as originally printed was absolutely clear. That it was updated now doesn't change that fact then.

Besides, gloating is a bit unbecoming of a Frater. Be cool.

Nah, not a bit of pie. They literally changed one phrasing to another because GW can't proofread. Folks were right before and are now corrected. Thankfully, I have to change nothing on my models but move a few models around.

I agree this is not surprising. I do wonder if GW will expand this "only one of each type" rule with more factions...cough...Space Marines...cough...

I think this is a rule that my group will politely ignore as I don’t think it makes much difference if it’s mixed or 2 of the same.  It’s still 2 meltas and 2 plasmas.

Yep, I've been warning people ever since the codex dropped.

I feel bad for Mordian Glory fans where he told everyone happily that double specials was the best way to go. Some people might have to do a lot of remodelling or buying new kits.

I was hoping for clarification on whether troops in deep strike or a transport count against Inflexible Command.

Yeah...though realistically, that should have been in the Arks of Omen FAQ, as all the secondaries are printed there.

I would just speak with your TO and point out that this exact clarification was made for Nephilim and nothing fundamentally changed about the objective since.

Nephilim version says "At the end of your turn:

Score 2 victory points if every ASTRA MILITARUM INFANTRY unit from your army that is on the battlefield is within 6" of a friendly OFFICER unit."

but ark version says "At the end of your turn:

Score 2VP if every PLATOON INFANTRY unit from your army is within 6" of a friendly OFFICER unit."

Isn't it an intended nerf?

The original Nephilim version was the same as the current Nachmund version, except for the inclusion of the the PLATOON keyword. The bit with "on the battlefield" was only added in a FAQ.

Without the addition, the secondary is worthless in a mission set that actively encourages using reserves. Let alone transports. So on the basis that we've been here before, I'm firmly on the side of "it's an oversight".

Except it isn't a nerf, since it limits which infantry are required to do something. You don't have to worry about ogryn hanging out near officers now.
