Chapter Master Valrak
So people are saying they're using magnetic dice, surly not true? Gave me a giggle. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/377754-warhammer-plus-magic-dice/ Share on other sites
Lord_Ikka
Huh. You'd think they would be smart enough not to blatantly show dice that are stopping unnaturally. If they were smart they just put some iron in the dice and make the dice tray slightly magnetic System Sound 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/377754-warhammer-plus-magic-dice/#findComment-5915366 Share on other sites
Matcap86
I watched it on repeat, and it IS a weird way of rolling. But that would be silly. Surely, just reroll 20 times and as they're editing in anyway, show the roll you wanted? Noserenda
Wouldnt conventionally rigged dice just work better though? Redcomet
Either it is a side effect of the foam they are rolling in or it is some editing thing. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/377754-warhammer-plus-magic-dice/#findComment-5915473 Share on other sites

It looks super odd, but the magnetic dice theory just feels like the overly complicated way to achieve this. Why would they do it that way?? Joe
When it comes to battle reports Geedub have always had a stated preference for games that look interesting and play relatively balanced rather than one side curb-stomping the other; hence mixing several games together into one in the past via White Dwarf. It isn't a huge stretch that they'd look for less intensive solutions for the recorded games for W+, i.e. magnetic dice. It makes sense if you're trying to show off newer releases as well, as more varied / successful rolls are a better representation of what a new unit can achieve on the table.
