Don't hold your breath.

It's always the safest option.

A.

We all know gw had had significant issues with it's warehouse.

B.

Could be the start of "out of stock" to repackage with new rules for 10th.

Option B would be my guess. Good catch, I didn't think about that. Especially if the rumor of a complete rules Reset is true.

Isn't the HH Spartan kit also able to make a LR? maybe they'll consolidate the molds and boxing into a single skew?

Not totally, some of the sprues, notably the frontmost and backmost partition of the track assembly, are shared, while the rest of the track assembly and the entire chassis are separate.

The shared sprues have "Land Raider" on their rim.

So y’all really think they are gonna “sell out” so they can slide a slip of paper into every box with new rules for 10th for free rather than hoe us all for another $50 to buy the rules…?? Option B makes zero sense.

models go out of stock for 3 reasons.

a. New model coming

b. Repackaging due to rebranding

c. Stock issues

well a. Is 99.9% unlikely, only reason for a new landraider model would be to upscale it, but compared to their other space marine tank models the lamdraider is not under scaled.

b. Is 90% unlikely as they just finished rebranding and repackaging all the old lines very recently. And there is no reason to do that again just for a rules edition change.

finally C. This is the answer. They’ve had stock issues, they currently have stock issues on multiple items. They will continue to for the foreseeable future. This is the state of the world right now across all industries. Use common sense and don’t read into :cuss: that’s not there. This thread is not news.

The Land Raider is Online only, so just has a white box, if they have decided to rescue it from that purgitory and send it back to the stock list it would need to be re-boxed, which would result in it being withdrawn in order for a change of stock code and box. its also possible that they are going to combine the versions while they are at it.

As proof it isn't just a stock issue, they use an out of stock flag for that, where this is No Longer Available Online. Its intentional, Its also on the UK store, and has been for at least a Day.

Stock issues is almost certainly not the answer, they have no qualms marking something temporarily out of stock for months.

Reboxing to not online only or consolidating with the LRC kit to have one box is way more likely. They did this with the Knight and Knight Armiger variants, as well as the Leman Russ.

They usually mark NLA when issuing a new SKU to the item, if the kit isn't actually retired, which a new SKU is the more likely event here.

Mk IIb is also out of print from Forgeworld now.

I will take it as a sign of a reboxing under HH branding. Or I will prentend I believe it...

Now how do you think is det the counrdown for the crusader version? Will the ticktock remain off our is it just a matter of time before  another countdown setting?

Big fat fingers and small mobile screen...

Supply chain probably still fargled up from COVID or something.  The Land Raider is the safest First Born model.  It was the "Biggest Badest Metal Bawkses" in most of their video games.   I'm surprised it's been allowed to be bad for as long as it has.

I actually wouldn't mind a new Land Raider model (I know, Evil Eye the wannabe-grog wanting an old faithful kit updated, shock horror!) if only because the existing kit, whilst very pretty looking when built and painted well, is a bit of a =][= NOT AROUND THE JUVES PLEASE =][= to actually do so due to fit issues and some rather questionable design choices, compounded by mold degradation (I'm never entirely sure what seams are supposed to be filled and which are panel lines that match up with parts breakdown...). Also the half-there interior fills me with a very specific form of anger; the heavy bolter ammo feeds are just dangling in space and there's nowhere for the driver and commander to actually operate the tank, damnit! Honestly I'd rather they'd not even bothered with the interior if they were going to half-arse it like that. It's weird too, because there's lots of quite old vehicle kits I think could keep going forever, like the Rhino kit, which IMO is just fine and short of horrific mold degradation in the future can keep going for a long time, but a new LR that keeps the design faithful to the current Phobos(?) pattern but refines things a bit would be nice. Bonus points if it adds options to build it as a Crusader, Redeemer or Prometheus, extra bonus points if it includes options to build it with Mk. IIB sponsons ala the tragically OOP FW kit, and bonus "I won't sentence you to a whack with a pewter 4E Hive Tyrant in a sock" if they actually give it a floor plate. Looking at you, Rogal Dorn!

Yeah, Raiders are not super friendly to build. An updated kit to go along with the (apparently) new Firstborn Indomitus Terminators that seem to be coming? Now that would be great.

I already have three full Land Raiders (and one old Crusader hull that I still need to refurbish) but a proper new kit and I may have to expand that out to six hulls (more if they added some of the Forge World variants into the mainline kit).

  • 4 weeks later...

Heck even I, strictly primaris only guy, would like a new Land Raider. Terminators + Land Raider is just one of those things where they go together.

I don't see them making a Repulsor Crusader, but I don't want a decades old kit.

A proteus or Spartan would fit the bill, but I'd like it to be a 40k era kit if possible
