3k Ravenwing list concerned about insta death

Hello all 

 

I've put together a fluffy(ish) ravenwing list that involves most units coming in via deep strike. I have the tac squad, Outriders and sabre starting on the board. Do you think that'll be enough to last to turn 4 if the worst happens? 

 

Also have 60pts to spend somewhere. 

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Maybe this is a silly question but what kind of power weapon is the chaplain's Crozius?

It's a Terranic Greatsword. A Dark Angels specific upgrade.

And can be "transformed" in a Crozius? I thought only generic power weapons can be upgraded as Crozius.

I'm interested in this point because i have SoH and they have also the special power weapon

I have seen that there is a discussion on this but I have to admit I have not really read through the comments. I see it as a power weapon so can be taken as a crozius. I figure that you pay the points anyway and the upgrade allows it. The group I play with also allow it so it's fair enough. 

 

What are your thoughts?

Hummm not sure, i must admit.

In one hand, i think you can upgrade only "basic" or generic power weapons, but in the other, is tempting (very tempting) to believe that, for exmple with SoH, i can use as Crozius a Carsoran power axe... A Master Crafted Carsoran power axe.

Or any other similar weapon, depending of the legion, of course.

I find heresy very much what fits with the fluff rather than 40k gamey. To me a Chaplain would have access to the rarer type of weapon for a crozius. I'm not sure it would make too much of a difference either due to the points being paid. 

 

I'd be happy to play against you with that combo but then I am biased.
