It's petty much confirmed at this point that all vehicles that will be usable, as long as they have rules in 10th.

Fingers Crossed the Spartan has good rules. I have a 2nd plastic one that could use a nice coat of paint...

Already got a Spartan set aside for the Deathwing. Might be a Lamenters one with its name on it too :D

They're fairly inexpensive to come by for now, compared to retail price, a good time to get one.

What's the source on that?  I would really love for it to be true...  but it feels too good to really happen lol.

Rhinos? No. Land Raiders yes. Honestly I don't see Rhinos getting refreshed. It's an ancient kit by today's progressive standards. Land Raiders? Well, with the Terminator refresh, and LRs being basically as Iconic as their cargo, I could see them putting out a new LR kit.

But short term Primaris are absolutely going to have to be able to ride in 40k's most Iconic vehicle.

Rhinos are used by more than just Space Marines, with Sisters of Battle, Grey Knights and all forms of Chaos Marines using them. So they aren't going anywhere, just like Land Raiders.

The iconic vehicles basically got refreshed by the HH stuff already. Just need the midsized Land Raider.

Might Primaris even go in drop pods... dare we hope?

Hmm just occurred to me, if firstborn are slowly dying out and primaris cant drive firstborn vehicles. Who will fly the thunderbirds, xyphons and other big flyers.. servitors?

Lore wise I dont think thats a concern. They would just teach anyone available to fly them. But Lore and table top are always vastly different

Funny enough I always found the idea of a Marine driving a Rhino or any vehicle to be extremely silly.

You have a small number of elite soldiers, and you assign them to drive a slow moving clunker that anyone with two limbs and a pair of eyes can control.

The only vehicles that make sense for Astartes pilots are the various speeders and the Xiphon, because they make use of the faster reflexes an Astartes has. All of the tanks should be piloted by a mortal crew in service to the chapter.

You mean thunderhawks? Don't primaris already fly in those in the lore, since like from the start almost?

The lore has no issues with any of that stuff. You'd get a story with like, 'then the Primaris Lieutenant hopped on a bike with the rest of the bike squad' (before Outriders were a thing), or 'Calgar in his Gravis armor hops into his Land Raider and they drive off'.

So the tabletop restriction on vehicles hasn't been represented or respected in the lore I think since the very beginning. Of course, it would be difficult to present an incompatibility like that without it coming across as stupid, simply because it is stupid. Given the amount of Space Marines and existing wargear, were such a restriction truly a thing in the setting, ironing that out would be first priority for simplifying logistics.
