So this has been a project I've been thinking on for a long time involving the 3 armies I'm working on to kind of give them all some backstory. 

 

The preface is, Black Templars Crusade Force Fortificus is attempting to retake some of what the Imperium lost during The Night of a Thousand Rebellions.  During this Crusade they've been fighting against a large Word Bearers force known as the Flaming Vigil (still working on that name) and their daemonic and heretic allies from nearby systems.  Eventually, the Word Bearers lead the Black Templars Crusade into a trap directly in the path of an incoming Tyranid hive fleet.  Surprised to see a Hive Fleet on this side of the Imperium and knowing they need assistance, the Black Templars call on the nearest Space Marine Chapter, the Guardian's of the Covenant to help fight back against the Tyranids and take the fight back to the Word Bearers.

 

This is still very much a work in progress, but that's the gist of it.  So here's some of the GotC stuff I've slowly been working on over the past 6 weeks
