I'll be posting here my units idea (and maybe in the future conversions based on them). Feel free to provide feedback,  unit names, make your own rules and conversions based on those ideas, your welcome to post them here btw.

 

1st post Notes section will be updated from time to time.

Notes:

 

Slots - How many special weapons unit can take. Heavy weapon takes 2 Slots.

If not mentioned otherwise sergeant uses squad main weapon.

  • Sergant Weaponss: CC Weapon/Chainsword/Power Sword + Laspistol/Bolt Pistol/Plasma Pistol/Hand Flamer

  • Notes: They are capable of sneaking, but's that not their speciality

  • Notes: Flamers are mostly for cleaning plants, transport capacity of 5 is perfect for Enginseer with 4 Servitors or Krieg Engineer Squad.

  • Additional equipment: Void Shield Generator
  • Unit unique upgrades: Extra Armor (reduces movement speed)
  • Notes: Praetorian sacrifices armor and weapons to mount Void Shield Generator. Multiple Praetorians can link their Void Shield together creating bigger and stronger Void Shield (Praetorian Shield Array).

 

Penal Legion Squad:

  • Size: 20 (19+1 Gang Leader or Penal Legion Officer)
  • Main weapon: Autogun or Shotgun or Autopistol + CC Weapon

Macharius Command Vehicle:

  • Main weapons: Bombast Cannon (Turret) + Mallus Rocket Launcher
  • Additional equipment: Command Equipment, Improved Comms, Smoke Launchers, Auspex Surveyor
  • Unit unique upgrades: Smoke rockets for Mallus Launcher

 

Leman Russ Skyclaw:

  • Additional equipment: Built-in Grenade Launcher, Searchlight
  • Unit unique upgrades: Smoke Grenades (Automata only), Plasma Cannon (Automata Only, requires Cybernetica Datasmith Adept)
  • Cybernetica Datasmith Adept Weapons: Omnissian Power Axe + Laspistol/Plasma Pistol/Macrostubber/Arc Pistol or Hot-Shot Lasgun/Arc Rifle/Plasma Gun 
  • Cybernetica Datasmith Adept Equipment: Servo-Arm, Augury Scanner, Mechadendrites

  • Notes; Spotter can relay targeting data to  artillery units if needed, otherwise they assist Marksman.

 

Combat Medic Squad:

  • Size: 5 (4 + 1 Senior Medical Officer)
  • Main weapon: CC Weapon + Laspistol or Lascarbine
  • Additional equipment: Medical Gear & Supplies, Smoke Grenades
  • Unit unique upgrades: Combat Stimulants Injector
  • Notes: Can be split upon deployment and attached to other squads (like Age of Darkness Apothecary).

 

Suppressor Squad:

  • Size: 10 (9 + 1 Sergeant)
  • Main weapon: Belt-fed Autogun or Heavy Stubber
  • Special weapons: 6 Slots (Rotor Cannon, Assault Cannon, Twin-linked Heavy Stubber, Heavy Bolter, Multi-laser)
  • Additional equipment: Smoke Grenades
  • Notes: Rotor Cannon counts as Special Weapon, Assault Cannon and Multi-Laser counts as Heavy Weapon.

 

Hecatoncheires Recovery & Repair Vehicle:

  • Chassis: Ironclawrer
  • Pintle weapon: Heavy Stubber or Storm Bolter or Grenade Launcher
  • Additional equipment: Crane, Repair Equipment, Towing Cables, Dozer Blade, Searchlight, Smoke Launchers

  • Notes: Bombardier replaces transport capacity with light artillery cannons. Ramp still functions, can be lowered to fire directly at enemies

  • Pintle weapon: Standard
  • Additional equipment: Dozer Blade, Searchlight, Smoke Launcher

  • Notes: Redesign of APDS-6a Defender put into mass production.

 

 

Destroyer Tank Hunter MK.II:

  • Main weapons: Heavy Lascannon or Demolisher Cannon or Battle Cannon or Vanquisher Cannon

  • Notes: Replaces very rare Laser Destroyer with more common Heavy lascannon, also standardizes various weapons used to replace Laser Destroyer

Dorn Crusader Heavy Tank

  • Main weapons: Baneblade Cannon + Co-ax. Autocannon
  • Notes: Standard Rogal Dorn turret successfully replaced with Baneblade turret.

 

Baneblade Mark II Prototype D:

  • Main weapons: Colossus Siege Mortar (Enlarged Turret)
  • Hull weapons: Eradicator Cannon + Twin-linked Heavy Bolter/Heavy Flamer/Lascannons
  • Notes: Replaced Demolisher with Eradicator to improve Anti-Fortification capabilities.

Siren Artillery Tank:

  • Chassis: Leman Russ
  • Main weapons: Twin-linked Bombast Cannons (casemate)
  • Hull weapons: None 
  • Sponsors: None 
  • Pintle weapon: Heavy Stubber or Stormbolter
  • Notes: Based on Solar Auxilia Basilisk, Siren replaces Earthshaker with twin Bombast Cannons.

 

Howler Super-Heavy Artillery Tank:

  • Chassis: Baneblade
  • Main weapons: Twin-linked Earthshaker Cannons (casemate)
  • Hull weapons: None 
  • Sponsors: 2x Twin-linked Heavy Bolter 
  • Pintle weapon: None
  • Additional equipment: Targeting array
  • Notes: Vehicle cannons are equipped with autoloaders allowing them to fire continuously. Targeting array is placed where demolisher cannon used to be.

Wendigo Super-heavy Tank:

  • Chassis: Baneblade
  • Main weapons: Aquila Macro-cannon (Enormous turret)
  • Hull weapons: None 
  • Sponsors: 2x Twin-linked Heavy Bolter + 2x Lascannons
  • Pintle weapon: Heavy Stubber or Stormbolter
  • Notes: Banebalde mounting the “light” Macro-cannon. Think of it like KV-2

 

Minotaur Mark.II Heavy Artillery Tank:

  • Chassis: Rogal Dorn
  • Main weapons: 2x Earthshaker Cannons (casemate)
  • Hull weapons: None 
  • Sponsors: None
  • Pintle weapon: None
  • Additional equipment: Targeting array
  • Notes: Update to ancient Minotaur design.

Fire Support Squad:

Hermes Light Sentinel (42 Millennium):

  • Main weapons: Multi-Laser or Hermes Grenade Launcher or Lascannon
  • Additional equipment: Smoke Launchers
  • Unit unique upgrades: Grav-Chute (Makes Hermes air droppable)
  • Notes: It’s only slightly bigger then Ogryn, might be tight but it should fit in Valkyrie.

 

Incursus Hermes Light Sentinel (42 Millennium):

  • Main weapons: Heavy Flamer or Multi-Melta or Rotor Cannon 
  • Additional equipment: Smoke Launchers
  • Notes: Updated and ready for Guard conversions.

 

Aethon Heavy Sentinel (42 Millennium):

  • Main weapons: Inferno Cannon or Melta Cannon or Autocannon or Multi-Laser or Lascannon or Automatic Grenade Launcher or Plasma Cannon
  • Hull weapons: 2x Missile Pods or 2x Hunter-Killer Missile Racks or 2x Stormshard Mortars
  • Additional equipment: Searchlight, Smoke Launchers

  • Additional equipment: Dozer Blade, Searchlight, Smoke Launchers, Hunter-Killer Missile
