Did anyone else notice this?  He's not "sold out online" he's not "temporarily out of stock online", he's just GONE, UA, AWOL.

I guess the Lt in the 10th edition starter box is not "another Lieutenant", but a replacement.

I am not going to complain. I never have liked monopose models anyway. Hopefully, he will have more options in his new incarnation.

*fingers crossed*

He got renamed three years ago to "Lieutenant in Reiver Armor" but the URL still has the original "Phobos" link:

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere's Reivey!!!

he was available still last year, I bought one.   Guess I goofed selling my Ultramarines army, well, he's still in the Combat Patrol box. Or I can try a reseller.

It would make sense for the Shadowspear set to be retired when 10th launches, if the new phobos character is indeed a Lieutenant.

let’s hope that the suppressors finally get a separate release. If so a new combat patrol would be nice for generic marines. Hopefully not full of heavy intercessors….

I wouldn't bet on a new Combat Patrol as the old one was shown here for the CP game mode.

In fact the only ones not shown are Tyranids which makes sense, World Eaters which isn't even out yet and strangely Custodes and Black Templars

This model has only ever been on a shared sprue with push-fit Infiltrators, Suppressor and Eliminator Sergeants, first in Shadowspear, then in a Start Collecting box and now in a Combat Patrol; it's never been available to buy as a standalone product from GW.

If you bought one on it's own you must have got it from a reseller/box splitter anyway?

Well I give up on attaching an actual image here, Imgur won't upload and the Dropbox link won't attach here, but if you download my attachment from my previous post you will see the Clam pack packaging from where I bought the original one in my local GW store. Yes, it WAS available separately, I have many talents counterfeiting a GW package complete with safety warnings in multiple languages is not one of them.

I would be very interested in seeing that since I have never seen that guy advertised separately, certainly never on the webstore. Thus my assumption that you were talking about the other model that actually was sold as a "Lieutenant in Phobos Armor" before being renamed.

Unfortunately, your attachment is unavailable.

If I can ever figure out how to upload a photo here I will do so. I am getting very frustrated with the whole process. Ughh.

FWIW, I don't doubt that you bought a "Lieutenant in Phobos Armour" in a clamshell case from a GW store. Such a product WAS available, but it wasn't the model you remember.

I think you're just misremembering which model you got from where.

I suspect you picked up the Shadowspear Lieutenant - not in a clamshell case from a GW store - around the same time. That model was the original "Lieutenant in Phobos Armour" but it was absolutely never available as a separate purchase. As my link above shows, what we now know as the "Lieutenant in Reiver Armour" originally was sold as the "Lieutenant in Phobos Armour" and that is still the URL for the product despite the later name change. In the 8.2 codex, those two models shared the same datasheet (and thus, the same name). But only the Reiver version was ever available on its own.

Here's the original packaging, in fact:
