Corax Legionaire
Hi guys. Hope this is thr right subforum for this question. I am still learning about how Unit construction works. Seeing how people kitbash for models that are not sold anymore like some of the Drukhari units. Amd people putting in variation in some units. I was wondering how that works generally. With my units needing x and y weapons kit but on modified or flatly different units, For example - c setting aside the cost difference- sub Mor Deythan models for scouts with sniper rifles since the Mor Deythan models are in armor. They're just RG proper units as I love the look so much better. Play them under scout rules od combat and name them such but use those models. Same with some of the possessed Chaos models in 30k that looks so much better than 40k. Etc. Grotsmasha
If you are planning on playing competitively, the TO would be the best contact to confirm any conversion / counts-as rules for the tournament. Generally speaking however, as long as your opponent knows before the game starts what is counting as what, there should be no issues. jaxom
Another thing to look at is visual equivalency. Mor Dethrym have power armor while scouts are more lightly armored. Counts-as Eliminators or Infiltrators, who have also have a 3+ save, may be more readily “apparent” for your opponents.
