Grotsmasha
Just got my first tomb Blade for Imperium, and am wondering what the consensus is on which load out to go for? All 3 with the same weapon? One of each? I *could* magnetised, but it won't be as easy as other factions, is magnetisation even worth the effort?
Tyriks
I had a hard time getting weapons to stay on with magnets, iirc. Its doable but more tedious than I expected, so be warned. I always run mine with the same loadout for the whole unit but that's just always my preference. I don't like trying to make sure the unit is always in range to fire both guns at different targets. I have had the best results in 9th with gauss. But I haven't played with my Necrons for about a year now so things may have changed, I haven't been keeping up. INKS
Looking over winning Necron lists for the last month the load out seems to be 1 Tesla Carbine - 2 Particle Beamers There was one list that took all Tesla Carbines x3 and one list that took all Particle Beamers, Shadowlooms x3 If it were me I would build them as 1 Tesla Carbine - 2 Particle Beamers - This seems to be favoured Grotsmasha 1 Back to top
Ahzek451
Magnets is not the easiest on this particular unit, bot honestly I highly recommend it. I've had to bounce between weapon options since their initial release years ago. Weapon profiles change, and so do tactical needs. Unless you plan to just purchase more models, it is worth the effort. Grotsmasha 1 Back to top
Marshal Mittens
I like Gauss Blasters; in the new edition there is likely going to be an S and AP reduction across the board, Gauss has had rending (ap) since 3rd edition, it's likely to keep it. I think it's decent now and will be decent in the new edition. Grotsmasha 1 Back to top
Galron
For general use I take squads of 6 with particle beamers with the Mephrit dynasty. Sometimes I use Gauss. Tesla is only useful to me in crusade when they can get the explode on 5-6 trait. I like just swamping my opponent in saves.
