Just an art appreciation thread :)

Really liked these when they first came out, not as clean-cut and handsome as some portraits of Astartes...guess they're a bit "grittier" in a good way (the last three portraits don't look quite as great to me, but are included for completeness)

I liked most of these bar the Ultramarines one, which as an Ultramarines fan was disappointed with.

He just looks like a middle aged man who is past his prime rather than a vibrant warrior who would be all but unstoppable without anti-tank weaponry.

Don't like the emo Raven Guard either. That hair just looks out of place, like a piece of satire that was added with an edit to make a meme.

First Imperial Fists one looks like he's doing one of those smiles you give another driver who lets you out on a busy road.

Now what I do like is the worn but imposing look the rest of portraits have. You could really feel the threat from them and imagine how they'd be terrible to face. I hope GW continues with this style for a while yet.
