I'm making a Sanguinary Guard prediction going into 10th ....

I listened to Chapter Master Valrak's latest YouTube video in which he told the story inside the new Lion Arks of Omen book.

 

The situation is established that primaris will have to become Sanguinary Guard. And we know models usually follow what the story line sets up. We all knew it was inevitable, but I'm predicting they are coming out far sooner now than later.

Makes sense even without the Arks of Omen story. Surely if Dante has crossed, it would make sense for the Sanguinary Guard to cross as well.

His standard bearer (the only one specifically called out as firstborn in the lore post devastation of Baal) died, doesn’t mean there aren’t more firstborn to come. Honestly I think they’ll get the terminator treatment and be called out as coming from both kinds because only the very best of the chapter are chosen to be in the sanguinary guard

I'd take either one, but I'd expect their armor to be more like Dante's.

 

On a somewhat related note, one of the things I like about Dante's general aesthetic is how sleek and relatively unadorned with bits and bobs he is. 

 

His armor is his raiment!

Characters join units in 10th Edition, so it would make a lot of sense for Dante to have some matching fellas to be attached to.

There's literally no justification for them to be in Gravis armour, which is intended to be a stable firing platform, over regular artificer tacticus/whatever armour that they wear the Nk7 equivalent of at the moment. 

 

Dante didn't get put into Gravis, so I assume SG will be the same.

I only finished my SG a little while ago and I really like them so even if new models do come out, I will probably run my existing models with the new rules.
