Bloody Legionnaire
Can I get the community’s opinion on which dreadnoughts work best (or are just your favorites) for blood angels lists? I have a small BAs collection and don’t have any dread for it yet. I really like the iconic look of the box naughts, but I know redemptors are absolutely beasts. I’d appreciate the feedback! MadGreek
I mean, the new Redemptor is basically a Primaris box naught, so you can wait for that. Personally I love ALL dreads, but if you want to stay thematic - the DC Dread, the Furioso, and the Libby Dread are very BA. Helias_Tancred
I'd get the Furioso Dreadnought kit. Then look at your collection and how you might want to play it, and then decide what best fits, furioso, death company, or librarian? The Librarian fyi is an HQ choice. Which is cool and unique, especially if you don't have a librarian already? Helias_Tancred
Next you'd want to consider the primaris redemptor dreadnought. I love mine. But with that Brutalis one that is in the Agastus box set, it's a tough choice to go him or the standard one? The Brutalis is very thematic for us. Again, comes down to how you want to play him? The standard one has a nice shooter arm, and close combat arm. The Brutalis does some shooting but its forte is melee combat with its two combat arms with talons. Bloody Legionnaire
I have about 5 different 40k SM chapters in my collection. I’m not necessarily looking at my BAs as an Army I want to compete with.. just a fun to play collection I can bring out when I feel like playing the sons of sanguinius. I don’t know if that changes anyone’s responses or not Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/378318-best-dreadnoughts-for-bas/#findComment-5935225 Share on other sites
MadGreek
That Brutalis is NICE, and I have one on the sprue. My first impulse is to make him a (Primarisized upscaled) DC Dread with blood talons. My only concern is it (the DC Dread) gets nerfed somehow. happyslugger 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/378318-best-dreadnoughts-for-bas/#findComment-5935232 Share on other sites

I would have gone strictly with the uniquely BA Dreads - DC, Furioso (in that order) and maybe the Libby if you need an HQ. happyslugger
I have the forge world BA leviathan and contemptor and two redemptor dreads. I do find in the limited games I play people still focus on the leviathan a lot. Xenith
Librarian Dread, and then the redemptor is always nice to give some decent longer range shooting, and they look great in red. The Brutalis is probably also great with dual MM's, however doesn't leverage the BA's chapter rules.
