House Cerberan Chaos Knight Abominant

It’s been a while since I’ve logged into B&CS, but here’s a Chaos Knight Abominant that I painted up for MavericksPaint Shattered Brush Awards November 2022. 

 

My rendition of House Cerberan, corrupted by Chaos thousands of years after their home world being invaded by Iron Warriors and brought to its knees.

Brilliant! Both the weathering and the OSL are excellently done.

Absolutely lovely work - the weathering and general decay is top-notch, and highly thematic.  

 

I also like the included Marine - it adds a sense of scale.

 

Are the tufts Gamer's Grass autumn tufts?

As someone who has just painted the same model, I have to say yours is exceptionally well done.  Only thing I would change is that I think the glow effect of the main gun could be made a little brighter (maybe brought up to white on the coils).  Nice choice as to the Imperial Fist symbol on the bright yellow cloth on the tilting shield - very characterful and brings a nice bit of brightness and contrast to the model.

thank you! The coils do go to white at the points closest to the center of the gun, it doesn’t look like it in these photos because the upload to the forum brought the quality down quite a bit. Tho I agree it may need a couple more layers of the white to bring out the brightness a bit more.
