Topics no longer show in unread feeds if a post is deleted

I've noticed recently that if a post is deleted by mod action in a thread, new, unread, posts in that thread no longer show up the unread feed.

 

For example, if I post in a thread, any subsequent posts in that thread are highlighted in my customised unread feed.

 

If one of my posts is deleted, even if I post in that thread subsequently, any new posts in that thread will not make it show in my Unread Feed.

 

This seems odd.

Here's a reply to a hidden (not deleted) post to test things out for @Sword Brother Adelard.

That did show up in unread that time.

 

I saw the notification, but didn't read it, and your post did show up in the unread feed.

However, is it worth checking if there may a difference in a thread I didn't start?

Maybe you could create a test thread, tag me in it, I'll post, someone else could, I post again, you delete that and post, and see how that works?

I'd like to test to see if this problem still exists, or if it was fixed with the other activity/RSS/search problem that @WrathOfTheLion just fixed.
