Solar Auxilia Armoured Tercio Restrictions

Hi all, 

 

A query about the following rule from page 96 of the Liber Imperium: 

 

"An Auxilia Armoured Tercio may include the following units: 

 

1-3 of either Solar Auxilia Leman Russ Strike Squadrons or Solar Auxilia Leman Russ Assault Squadrons."

I'm honestly not sure if this means 1-3 squadrons in any combination or 1-3 of only one type. I read it as the first but I'm not sure as I can see it being the other way around. 

Does anyone have any insight? 

I definitely think this is one for an FAQ but opinions would be welcome.

I read "1 to 3 of either X or Y" as meaning "1 to 3 of X or 1 to 3 of Y". The "either" indicates exclusivity, you can't have both.

Thanks, that makes sense, not how I read it the first few dozen times so hopefully we'll get an FAQ.

It's definitely not as clear as it could be.

 

Although I stand by my interpretation it amused me to see the Coordinated Assault genestealer cult stratagem from today's 40k Faction Focus uses "either" to indicate the bonus and restriction apply to both selected units. A textbook example of how English is hard.

Yeah, that use of it doesn't help matters.

 

I'll run the least powerful interpretation until we hear otherwise.
