Recon Company and Deepstriking Heavy units

Quick question, the Legion Recon Company RoW specifies that units contained in a detachment using that RoW with the Heavy Sub-Type may not be deployed onto the battlefield during deployment and must instead be placed into Reserves. My question as an Alpha Legion player is, say I stole a unit of Deliverers (Who can natively deepstrike), would putting them aside to deepstrike adhere to the limitations of the RoW?

Thanks in advance!

Putting them into deepstrike is putting them into reserves.

You could do the same with Dynat or Alfie by giving Outflank (via Infiltrate/scout) to the unit with the Heavy subtype.

Basically, anything not starting on the board, is in reserve.

Is taking traitor deliverers for deep strike worth it though? I mean yeah if you're playing loyalist Alphas sure, but traitor cataphractii having WS5 and hatred Corax doesn't seem like a good trade off for the points you're going to have to pay.

Yeah, Loyalist Deliverers getting Battle Hardened (1) is amazing, the Traitor swap is definitely a major downgrade.

The choice of unit itself was immaterial - I was more interested if a Heavy-typed unit with native deepstrike would satisfy the demands of the RoW. Deliverers were the first unit I could think of.
