Tacitus
Before Twin Linking they were both. My "death star" in 9th was Bobby G for CM/LT reroll auras and +1Move, 5 Aggressors (Dakka the Chaff, Punch the tanks) 5 BGV (4++ tanks, ginsu the MEQ/TEQ) Tiggy to make something harder to hit, A chaplain for a stacking Litany, a Cheif Apothecary (to bring back the BGV etc), a Chapter Ancient to give/boost ObSec, and 5 Erads with some sort of intercessors tagging along to sticky cap at the end. Inquisitor_Lensoven
4 hours ago, Orange Knight said: I think the Aggressors are definitely more of a close combat unit with some ranged support, unless they really change the rules of their shoulder mounted grenades and add some additional bonuses to their ranged attacks. They have twin-linked power fists, and we don't yet know what kind of interactions and bonuses Gravis-clad Captains will provide. It seems that each Captain has a different unique rule depending on his armour. I mean even in a lore stand point the ranged weapons are basically suppression weapons, to force an enemy to keep their heads down while they close the distance in order to punch them in their dirty xenos/heretic/mutant faces. Inquisitor_Lensoven
Back more on topic, I think the apothecary’s OC ability will largely be aimed at horde armies that will try to just drown objectives in bodies. especially considering the big bad of the edition is tyranids, historically a very high model count army. So you shoot up 1 unit on the objective, then charge to finish them off, the vivi-whatever gives the apothecary OC9 almost guaranteeing control of the objective against any other unit currently on it still, or that might push it to take or contest the objective.
