Scout move for Invictor makes a  lot more sense

I can see the thought process.

if jump pack infantry can drop from aircraft or low orbit, and land safely, why couldn’t a speeder?

i don’t have strong feelings one way or another about this, but it makes a certain sense to me.

They've had it before for an edition IIRC - not surprised it came back.  Speeders fly so they're one of the best or least hamstrung vehicles out there.  I'm more interested in if Drop Pod Assault and Terminator Assault are still some sort of thing.  Half Drop on Turn 1?

7th ed deepstike 'speeders were a very cool tool. If they get D.S. back you better believe you'll see multimelta (now at least twice as good as they were in 7th stats wise) landspeeders showing up. I never stopped putting mine on the table but I don't play much tourney these days.

I just hope the thunderstrike stays at 2+ to hit.

As an ancient from 2e who prefers to play all Primaris, I have not fallen in love with these new Speeders. The old ones, like the boxnaughts are just more playable if nothing else. Vehicle models  have gotten way too big to have fun with imo.

See now I'm also an oldie, but I do like the new Speeders.  Of course I also like the old speeders and would use either or both.  I like the idea of an Old Speeders + TFC (with cooler TFC rules similar to the original) combined single data sheet unit where the Speeder(s) from these unit(s) can share telemetry/etc with the TFC(s) to allow LOS/Indirect without drawback etc.

Yeah, but it doesn't really matter anymore.  My kitchen sink now has Anti-Fly 2+.  FLY'ers - so speeders, jump packs, etc - not just "AIRCRAFT" are sitting ducks this edition.

It does especially the AT variants, if you can get an angle on a monster or vehicle they’re hiding from a lascannon devastator squad for example, you may not kill it out right, but you’ll force them to be much more cautious after blaring a bunch of wounds off of it
