Hey all. I'm embarking upon a project to build 20 Flayed Ones using the bodies of Necron warriors, using Dryad arms to create jagged and spikey arms.

I'll ensure I sharpen edges etc, but the main thing I need to do is model skin onto the Flayed Ones.

So my initial thought was use GS (Green Stuff) and roll out some thin enough layers to drape over the bodies etc don't have to be too tidy as they're wrapping themselves in jagged flesh and in my mind, not neatly skinning enemies but rather wrapping themselves in chunks of flesh etc.

Is there a quicker way or product I could use more efficiently or alongside this technique? For example, kitchen roll dipped in glue is used by some artists on their models to look like cloaks.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Two things I do that have similar effects. 1) PVA glue spread fairly thin on a microwavable surface, nuke it for a moment,  creates a thin but fairly sturdy layer after 20-30 seconds (watch it don't know how good your microwave is, might be 10 second in yours?). I should also say don't use one you do a lot of cooking in.

2) is PVA again but apply directly to whatever surface & add a drop of super glue, it will crinkle up and look all warped (best effect is on flat surfaces but have done stuff on arms and legs)

You can do the first one & then apply the second on top as well.

Hope I'm clear enough for you

edit- should say watch it, it'll be hot coming out of the microwave but apply it straight away while its still hot and not fully cured (hard)
