SycoB
I am going to be going up against a very scary list that contains a Warhound titan and the infamous Peterturbo, saddling alongside will be 10 tyrant siege terminators and some other stuff, mostly pinning weapons. - Warhound vulcan mega bolter That big blast thing (the one that nukes stuff) - Perturabo - 10x Tyrant Siege Terminators I shall be running the legion that even manages to elude the readers... Alpha legion (loyalist) I have taken headhunter leviathal (I'm subject to change) and I have stolen Tyrant siege terminators. I am running 2 separate detachments, the first of which has no rite of war. Allied detatchment - Centurion Master of Signals - Tactical squad - Leviathun Melta Lance Siege Claw x2 Heavy Flamers Crusade Force Organisation Chart - Centurion Cataphractii Librarian - Telepathy - Contemptor 2x Gravis Melta Canon - Destroyer Assault Squad - Tactical Squad - Tactical Squad - Tactical Support Squad Rotor Canons - Headhunter Kill Team - Headhunter Kill Team - Sky Hunter Squadron Artificer Armour Full Melta combo - 10x Heavy Support Squad Lascannons Artificer Armour - 10x Tyrant Siege Terminators - Omegon Recommendations to replace units would be nice too Also with penetration could a lascannon blow up a Titan or am I just unsmart If my list making doesn't work, or disregards some rule please tell me, I'm still new to 30k Edited June 13, 2023 by SycoB Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/378942-killing-a-warhound-and-peterturbo/ Share on other sites
Cleon
You need to chip away the Titans hull points before it dies, you can't damage it or blow it up until it's out of hull points. My understanding is each glance or pen takes off one hull point and if you would have exploded a tank it does D3 instead. (I know knights have a way to avoid the D3, not sure if Titans do as well. Solution Xenith Posted June 13, 2023 Solution Share Posted June 13, 2023 Go full combi meltas on the headhunters, I'd swap the siege tyrants for fulmentarus and move the allied Leviathan into the AL detachment, then swap the allied detachment leader for a delegatus and make it a recon company so you have a great chance of going first. Fists on contemptors are ace, so I'd go for that +1 melta cannon instead of 2x melta cannons. The main benefit of the contemptor is speed, resilience and the fist, otherwise you can get good melta elsewhere for less! SycoB
Thanks so much for the terminator recommendation (took me awhile to find them) and the other advice on rite of war, i forget to mention the advice on the contemptor. Also cleon thanks for the rule mention about d3 damage thats massive, im a tad less scared now. Ill mark a solution in a bit tho cuz i would like to see others opinions That terminator recommendation tho... brutal 2 rockets are unheard of. Xenith
Yea, just don't use them in every game if your want to keep your friends! They murder cataphractii and contemptors, and do a good number on Levi's.
