Best use of tycho

I have a Tycho or two laying around I’ve never used before, and was wondering what everyone thinks his best use.

 

normal or DC?

which squads does he work best in?

 

im leaning towards normal, and putting him with either a command squad or a tactical squad.

i like the normal version more, and hes also cheaper. I'd say a tactical squad is best now, would have been sternguard before. Rapid fire lascannon :D

Yep and he adds a fairly nasty melee threat to a traditionally non-melee unit while still being able to contribute to the ranged fight fairly well.

 

just wish they’d bring back his digital lasers.

You could put him with a command squad and give the company vets a lascannon and storm shield each. They can even be resurrected too as long as the apothecary is alive!
