Does anyone know when we'll get the "Index" for Legends of the Horus Heresy Models?

Recommended Posts

Some previous rumours state that Combat Patrol Datasheets are out on Tue 20th, and Boarding Patrol and Crusade are out on Fri 23rd, GMT.

No mention of the FW Compendium/Legendarium but my feeling is the later date.

Edit: as per below it's definitely coming, most likely with Combat Patrol if their punctuation is an indication.

On Warhammer Community, the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 is still the focus – in addition to rules for continuing your Crusade campaign, you’ll soon be able to download the Combat Patrol rules for each faction box, find Datasheets for the Legends of the Horus Heresy, and get the latest news of the new Warhammer 40,000 app

From this week’s Sunday preview.

Hmm. What about main 40K legends? Is that included in the FW legends time frame? Because Calgar in Terminator armour is amazing looking.

i) Merged together in a single Legends issue, or ii) released separatley (eventually with 40K Legends released but at a later date - ¿in codex time frame?)... Or iii) squatted.

I have a bad feeling on that one...

But I am quite convinced that the stuff that used to be in Legends in 9th Ed. will disappear, as well as all the discontinued FW models that were removed from shelves other the past quarters - lost to the warp. Will probably remain only stuff taken from active HH range. But I am a poor overseer in general, so I might b wrong.

What units fall here? I can't think of any.

The old legends pdf is gone, and I don't have a copy to hand.

For generic marines; chaplain dreadnought, Librarian/apothecary/techmarine on bike, Land Raider Excelsior, rhino primaris and imperial space marine spring to mind.  Chaplain on bike is back due to the primaris version, same for the primaris company champion.  There were a number of forgeworld vehicles that have gone too, though I imagine they will end up in the heresy legends list since they can almost all be made from the new plastic kits IIRC

Of current index entries that are potentially at risk, there's the B&C contemptor, relic terminators, land speeders (rumoured) and whatever's going to happen with the original boxnaught; though it may be that only the basic plastic one retires, the veteran one stays and they share the 'dreadnought' datasheet in the codex.

I'm not familiar enough with other armies to say what was in the previous legends that are no longer in the indexes; I believe orks have lost some.

So, not with the Combat Patrol stuff.

Probably Friday then....

Been wrong enough to not hold my breath.

I was hoping today or tomorrow. Playing the first games of 10th tomorrow night and would have been nice to use a couple of the models. Or half my Custodes army. Ah well, next week then.

Part of the doubt is now cleared. We have at hand the Legends from the HH, which feature a limited amount of HH and other FW kits (especially for Chaos).

Only SM, AdMech (3 DS) and Chaso SM.

The rest is... either phased-out or released in a "close" future with other sorts of Legends. Then we will see if Astra militarum remain with toys, if Former Legends from 8-9th disappear or remain...

The WarCom also talk of future IA Compendiums but will they be Custodes and Knight only, or can we expect something else (again, Astra Militarum, at least as it remains on the FW website...)?

What you won’t find in this download are units from the Adeptus Custodes and Knight Households. You can find their rules in the associated Imperial Armour compendiums, which will be released in the near future. Also coming soon are the datasheets for those non-Heresy-era units entering Legends.
