Loooking for help vs eldar

Hey all

 

I know we are still working out whats good and whats not, but as anyone got any tips for fighting eldar? I been looking at the indexes for the Death Guard for the past hour and am struggling to come up with a list worthy of us. We will be playing with 2000 point armys

 

I had the idea to lean into flame type Belcher & spewer and blightspawn in my PM squads that seemed strong but now after looking at the eldar indexes am not so sure any advise ?

I've only played against Dark Eldar, but in that game the Evil Space Elves easily had the advantage in both manueverability and shooting range.  Regular Space Elves can spam Bright Lances that re-roll hits, re-roll wounds and can be flat damage 8.   They also have a lot of Devastating weapons that deal MWs. 

 

I'd start with the maximum 60 poxwalkers and then go wide on 5 man units of plague marines, some rhinos and cheap units of single blighthaulers and min sized deathshroud.  

 

Avoid expensive units like PBCs and Hellbrutes because you will be picking them up quickly.     

 

Make sure the Terrain doesn't allow your opponent to camp out in the corner and snipe at your units the whole game.  I made this mistake in my game and struggled to get my guns in range of my opponents Ravagers.

 

Art of War ranked Space Elves as the #1 Faction needing a Day 1 Nerf and Death Guard as needing a Day 1 Boon so go into the game knowing you are not on an even playing field.

I can't help I am afraid as I have only played one game with my DG vs marines and that lasted until my T3.

 

I am now looking at my harlequins and building a 2k list and have something on paper (I only have harlequins).  Looking at it and the number of toys I can take for 2K plus what appear to be some bonkers rules for eldar (when compared to DG) I can image my Harlequins would roll my DG pretty easily.
