GW promised us a new kit with a new Codex, so the question is what would that be? A completely new unit or updated previous one?

Looking at the range, the Destroyers kit are the last unit that is outdated, with the Nightbringer and Deceiver being out of date characters. It's possible GW will release one of those, hopefully the Destroyers with perhaps an upgraded gun and maybe even a choice of a different one to go with it.

I'd doubt we'd get a completely new unit however. Seems like a generation commitment from GW though it would be nice to see something.

I can see a larger variant of Flayed One and maybe even a character too, though this is an outside chance.

Hmm... I think we're all worried about just getting another Cryptek and them calling it a day.

What do Nemesors and Crypteks here feel would be the case?

Ah, the classic GW promise. What they say is always true, from a certain point of view

It could be the Destroyers getting redone or any of the push fit models getting multipart kits or individual release but I'd bet it's a named character.

Any chance for a narrative tie-in for clues? Perhaps it will be linked to an adjacent Codex release as opposing factions instead of just models with the book.

I’d be okay with either new crypteks (geomancer/datamancer would be cool), or resculpted resin characters. Also a Flayer Lord. And rules/Models for an Ophydian Lord. And Royal Wardens with weapons other than a Gauss blaster, a la Neth in TDK. And Lychguard upgrade sprues to provide weapons from same. And, and, and…

oh, and maybe a nice updated Lord sculpt with an orb and warscythe. (Or I guess it’s a ‘Lords Blade’ now )

…it seems I have a long wishlist.

Mostly I want customization but I, uh… don’t see that happening unfortunately.

Basically, if we saw it in either TDK or TIATD (Hello Triarchal Executioner?), I want it, and I’d dearly love updated Trazyn and Orikan.

If GW pulls what the do for AoS every faction will just get some 5w Leader no one wanted. Def dont want more Leaders and I dont really care about any of the special characters.

Updated Destroyers and Destroyer Lord could be nice though.

I stand corrected. I agree with you both.

Most practical (i.e.- won't happen) options - New Lohkust Destroyers/Destroyer Lord, Nightbringer/Deceiver models

Re-done named characters - Best guess would Orikan and Trazyn. Too late to do an Infinite and Divine tie-in, but both are fairly agnostic as far as rules go and have older sculpts. Anrakyr is also an option as he is in general used more, but is not as fluffy of a choice.

New characters - I can see a new cryptek or two being possible, as we've barely scratched the surface of the various Necron science disciplines. A new named character could be Oltyx, the Twice-Dead King, now the Fallen Lord Valgul and Flayer King. A Flayer character would be really interesting, and probably make Flayed Ones better now if he gave them something like +1 damage or +1 to Wound.

I always wanted to buy into the idea of expanded Flayer Cults, Destroyer Cults (we have more now but there's always more that can be done) and the Canoptek focus. Beyond a simple theme, extra models to fill out the "troops, Elites, Assault and heavy support" dynamic.

Now that is dreaming.

We do have a ton of HQs but I honestly wouldn't mind more. All of our existing ones are either very specific (i.e.Skorpekh Lords) or trying to do basically the same thing (i.e. Lord, Overlord, Royal Warden, every named Overlord/Lord). I wouldn't mind a new HQ if it does something new. But if it's a new Overlord with a different weapon loadout it'd be a major disappointment!

My geuss is based more on history and pattern over personal desire.

I'd wager a new plastic version of an existing finecast character. Old kits receiving an update seem to have a higher priority. Anything is possible, but I dont see an updated version of lokhust destroyers in this wave since they bothered to include plastic grey tubes, giving me the hint that this kit is sticking around for a couple editions at least.

Lokhust and ophydian's dont have lords, so could see them.

Now for my personal wish? I do miss pariahs. And personally frustrated they took the pylon away. But I'd never bet a new plastic pylon lol.

We dont really have a cryptek on foot anymore.....I mean that's currently available.

Ah, I miss Pariahs. Even if they're slightly different to Warscythes etc, I'd be all over them like a rash.

I also figured that they were too close to lychguard for it to be a reality.....alternatively it's an opportunity to slightly change the idea. Still keep the core of elite, mecha pariahs, but maybe they could be wielding something else. Lore-wise this has been a combined effort between szeres and the king in experimenting with organics and transfering necron conscienceness....Let the imagination go.

But I do know that a lot of people have been pestering GW for them multiple times on facebook, and GW has a decent track record for listening to model demand.....take it for what you will.
