KnightofSigismund
If a vehicle or unit destroys the original target they were shooting at, do they get to redirect fire to another enemy unit using the weapons they haven’t shot with ? Dr_Ruminahui
No, unless they have some rule that allows them to shoot again or some special rule that lets them do so. After choosing which unit to shoot, target selection is the second step of the firing stage. This is the step where you choose where each of the units shots are going to go. There is nothing in the rules that lets you select again later, so you can't. On the plus side, you can split a unit's fire, so you can choose to allocate your shots in a way that minimizes "wasteage" - though, at the risk that you won't manage to finish the target with the shots you have allocated. Abominant
Splitting a unit's ranged attacks between multiple targets can be risky. If you really need to put a target down, a little overkill can often pay off more than it doesn't.
