1500 Word Bearers Starting out

Hey!

 

So me and my friends decided to go 30k. We're all building our armies and figured we start out with 1500 point battles.

 

I got the starting box and nothing else so I am more or less bound to use what is inside it. The drop pods is something  can re-use from my 40k armies :)

Welcome to the Heresy! I like this idea as a twist on the starting box; using Last of the Serrated Sun with no Gal Vorbak is crafty.  
 

My fear is that at 1500, what are you going to meet that takes a 10-man tooled up cataphractii squad in a Spartan to deal with? Unless your opponent is in a similar position?

 

So I’d be tempted to sell (or put aside for now) the Spartan, add in the dreadnought, and maybe add in second HQ as the warmonger to bring a unit in by teleport (sort of fits the theme if you’ve run out of drop pods), slimming down the terminators if necessary.
