WH App Issues

Was tinkering around on the app while I sat here at work and noticed that I can't add units to lists right now. Is that a problem everyone is having or just me? Normally there is a little button beside the unit name that let me add it. That's gone, and tapping the name itself opens up the sheet, as if I were still in the reference list.

 

Also figured that with this new app we needed a thread people could use to post issues rather than starting a new one each time, and didn't see one at a glance.

I'm pretty sure GW have deactivated the list building from the "free" version of the app, and it is now behind the Warhammer+ paywall. Same App, just need the subscription for list building now.

From the 30th Aug the paywall goes up

 

Codexs wont be far behind I would imagine.

Yeah, I'm having no issues with the app right now, either.

As stated, eventually the List builder portion will become a WH+ requirement, but Indexes, Combat Patrols, and Imperial Armory stuff is remaining Free.  Codexes can be accessed by buying a codex and redeeming the product code, which will get you their rules in app (Supposedly.  No codexes have released yet so we're not technically 100% on how that works, as it's a new app and doesn't work the exact same way as the old app).

Regardless of what the people who like to spread misinformation say, the Index stuff will remain free indefinitely, or until GW changes their mind.  Right now, they are stating that it'll remain free.

That would be a mistake. Locking the codex code behind a monthly sub is crazy. That would only encourage more piracy. The free access now is at least an incentive for the dead tree. If the sub gave you access to codexes and the list builder, that's a far better argument for the monthly sub if you don't need the hard copy codex.
