According to Valrak GW is cancelling scalper orders once again, so they'll have stock of the books again, no idea how they'll handle it this time around.

My book hasn't been shipped yet as well, maybe it's related to me ordering as a guest

Same here. I feel this happens whenever I order from GW direct, they dont ship any sooner if its a pre-order, in fact they dont ship on release day, they wait a few days till the next week.

Its one more reason* why I try not to order from them directly, the only reason I order from them as a pre-order is if I feel I cannot get a copy at all otherwise.

*The other reasons not to order from them is price ( no discount at all) and shipping charges.

It's quite depressing - especially as I'm currently shifting some stuff on eBay and often get thrust with listings for this book.

One guy has 23 copies up at the moment. This one seller has nearly 1% of the global stock.

I despair...

This round will require you to send a picture of yourself holding a newspaper with that days date, and you must answer a captcha that is Horus Heresy and Games Workshop Trivia. Once the order is placed, James Workshop will FaceTime each individually buyer. If your FaceTime doesn’t match your Newspaper Pic, your order is cancelled and we do it again next Wednesday.

Just a friendly reminder about spoilers...

Almost everyone has done a first-rate job in the spoiler department in all the threads concerning this topic, so this is just for the few post before thinking fraters. Keep in mind that not everyone has read this far, and some don't even know how this all ends:jawdrop:...

I know, SHOCKING, but true:blink:

Caught up with Valraks latest video last night and I'm surprised/concerned that the scalpers actually went out in person to Warhammer World. I'd assumed they would all just do their business online without stepping foot in any hobby shop.

When the payday is big enough…

My last ditch gamble was to head up to WHW on Saturday to try and get a copy. I’m glad I didn’t have to resort to that - it’s a 170 mile journey each way, and I would have probably had to get a hotel the night before to ensure I was at the doors early enough to get myself a copy. Still cheaper than paying a scalper…

Yeah, time to mute the 40k lore subreddits, lots of posts there previously with spoilers in the titles. Disappointed with Auspex putting up a spoiler video, most people wouldn't even have gotten a chance to pick up their copies yet, never mind read through them.

Auspex made it clear the video was full of spoilers, I don’t see the problem. Some of us don’t care about spoilers or have any intention of diving into a long series

Not really the topic at hand but I'd question why he's making a video about it at all. He's a tactics guy, clue is in the channel name, and frankly his "dry slideshow with monotone delivery" style lends itself to comparing datasheets but doesn't lend itself to... pretty much anything else.

That's not to say people can't and shouldn't expand their offering, but it all feels like a fairly transparent attempt to chase YouTube engagement trends rather than any particular enthusiasm or flair for the subject. There are literature and lore channels out there than can do this way, way better. Auspex increasingly feels like he's in that group of "I must be first!" YouTubers who will crap out a video on anything just to get the clicks.

I'd just like to know how people managed to bypass the queue just by going via Bugman's and managed to buy more than 1 copy per person without the required ticket.........

I hate to say it but I can't help thinking these were opportunists that had a mate working at Warhammer World....... But it sounds like they got at least a quarter of the stock available (supposedly 18 copies).

Be fair, there has to be some advantage of living in Nottingham…
