Bilskirnir3124
Got a bit of a noob question for the fine folks of Bolter and Chainsword today. I'm making an Ironclad Dreadnought. I'm currently painting him right now. I painted the base. It's the first time I've painted a base before attaching the model to it. As I was thinking about it I think I may have screwed up. I'm not sure how I'm going to attach it without melting my paint work. Do any of you have a idea I might attach it without melting my paint off the base? Thanks. nilsh
I would either pin it and use superglue, or scrape off a bit of paint and use plastic glue. I don't know if it's the best way but it's worked for me in the past. Solution Grotsmasha Posted August 4, 2023 Solution Share Posted August 4, 2023 Using a knife (or any metal object really), carefully score the base where the feet will go, make sure to get to the plastic. You don't need to uncover the entirely of the foot, just inner most 1/2 or so, as long as there is plastic to plastic contact, and you are not heavy-handed with the glue, you will be fine to use plastic glue Firedrake Cordova, Bilskirnir3124 and MithrilForge 1 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/379873-basing-question/#findComment-5979067 Share on other sites
Bilskirnir3124
Ah. Okay. That makes good sense. I'll give that a go once I get the painting done. Thanks.
