SvenIronhand
Would be a easier kit to assemble, at least. Redemptor Variants are up there with Firstborn tanks when it comes to bad builds, in my opinion. Mostly the legs. Evil Eye
That is pretty good, the plasma cannon is a touch big but overall I like it. I've posted it before but I too have attempted to redesign the Redemptor to look more like a proper Dreadnought whilst still being visually distinct. Might have a go at designing a printable one... Blindhamster
honestly, I think the redemptor design is far superior. The only bit on the redemptor I'm not married to is the amount the front protrudes. IMO the arms and legs and back and side parts of the armour are all spot on. N1SB
This has inspired me to create my own portmanteau for Dreadnoughts. Instead of "coffinmech", I will now refer to Dreads as "MeChaskets", like mecha and caskets. It sounds like a coffin you buy at McDonald's, this is so terrible. This is the worst word I've made up since "epistemologistical" (i.e. the logistics of how we learn things). Doghouse
I would probably take those legs and stick them on a Redemptor as I think the legs are the main let down for me. Robbienw
Yes would much prefer that, a tweaked upsized Castaferrum. Looks a lot better than the Redemptor. Funnily enough, the Ballistus doesn't seem to have the trouble points the Redemptor/Brutalis have, because of its snap-fit nature. zero888
Nope. I really like the redemptor design, it actually has legs that could propel it. The Ballistus looks a bit off to me but the Brutalis is probably one of my favorite Primaris kits to date. Paladin777
While I do like the redemptor chassis, I love the boxnaught, as evidenced by my castaferrum dreadnaughts of various types! So yeah, I would have loved that design for a primaris dreadnaught! Orion
I wish more 3d artists would show their designs printed like this. Rather than just renders. Overall pretty decent redesign. Evil Eye
Dreadnoughts are supposed to have fairly stout legs. The Redemptor's legs are too long and thin. Interesting to see it "for real". I actually think it still suffers from some of the same issues as the redemptor, namely the excessively protruding "belly". It introduces a new "issue" IMO though, the body seems weirdly too tall compared to the sarcophagus, which throws its proportions out, the castaferrum isn't so bad in that sense. The assault cannon looks much worse than the redemptors onslaught gatling cannon, but I really like its fist, very very nice. I think the legs are too wide, the castaferrum doesn't have such wide legs in relation to its body (though they are wider than the redemptor ones, relatively speaking). The slightly longer legs are pretty cool, and I like the piping. It actually looks like it could walk. Overall, I think there's definitely a nice dread there (nicer than the 3d render suggested honestly), but it would need a number of sizeable adjustments.
