ChronoCub
Hey all. I tried searching the forum for this but couldnt find anything. Apologies if its already been covered elsewhere. If it does already exist. Please could you point me in the threads direction. Im a S.wolves returning player, and im looking for help with regards to what to purchase to flesh out my firstborn army in a cost & space efficient manner. So far my thoughts are to start with the predator tank box. This should get me the rhino core & predators. Then getting these as magnetised options to swap & change as necessary: Vindicator: https://puppetswar.eu/big-momma-attachment.html Whirlwind: https://puppetswar.eu/models-and-bits-539/all-bits/turrets/missile-launcher-turret-mkiv.html Razorback: https://puppetswar.eu/models-and-bits-539/all-bits/vehicle-weapons/turret-mkv-configurator.html Am i missing anything stupidly obvious? Does anyone have experience with these puppetswar.eu bits that will mean that it doesnt work the way id hope? Solution Xenith Posted September 5, 2023 Solution Share Posted September 5, 2023 The whirlwind is very easy to use as a rhino, you just swap the top plates, the preds will involve magnetisation, though you could maybe just wap the top plate and leave the sponsons and have it count as a custom razorback with twin bolters or twin las. You don't need the razor turret as razors can already have twin lascannons, which is the same as the predator turret. My concern is that you're spending the price of a tank on upgrades to one tank to let it do two/three things, where you could just buy two tanks and be able to use them both in games. If the concern is wasting money, or making money go further, then consider that whatever parts you're not using in-game is money sat there doing nothing! The vindicator is tricky here as it's a big modification to normal rhinos - you'd have to basically leave it half assembled and magnetise the lot to be able to switch in the big momma cannon. With what you're trying to do, I'd maybe get a razorback and a predator kit, turn one rhino chassis into the vindicator with the BMC, then magnetise the sponsons on the other chassis to be able to swap between rhino and pred. Dr_Ruminahui
Predator is pretty easy to magnetize to field it as either type or as a rhino. Here is my chaos version that I did up, and here it is painted. Not sure if that helps - if you want more specific comments about the process, feel free to message me. There are also 3D printable parts that you could use to augment your predator/rhino kit to allow you field it as additional versions - I know BCK has a nice whirlwind print he is working on.
