Sensei Swag passing

Just read a post today that Nam Thien Nguyen "Sensei Swag" had passed away a month ago.

I didn't know him in any capacity other than his online presence. However I thought it was worth acknowledging his crazy hobby achievements.
Not sure there are many in the hobby that have achieved his scale of army painting, and fantastic photography. In an all too short lifetime.

His YT tutorials on mass painting tanks, infantry etc

Yeah. He did have a commission painting partner Rachel. (maybe more painter in the studio)
Last I checked they still had a lot of commission projects going on. Like dozens of titans and aircraft.  Judging by his videos he was really quick at painting but not sure what the overall team is like.
I wonder if the studio will dissolve or they'll just downscale commissions or employ someone else.
I'm sure it's been a big shock.

Either way, their work will be remembered as some of the craziest commissions out there. Super efficient painting.

It was super sad; Nguyen ran a fantastic studio with his partner and also his infectious love of cars and mountain climbing made fantastic stories too. It was really sad seeing it on the Eavier Metal group last month :(

You can all see Rachel's post about it from soon after Nguyen died - the studio will carry on (it is a fairly sizable studio he did last year - up to 6 painters - & Nguyen was often advertising for painters and Rachel and he linked to various in various posts on Instagram; Stormytower on insta is part of the studio too).

But one of the things I really liked about the studio was how he wanted to show girls in the hobby. On social media he would share his studio painters, always reference his business partner, and defend against misogynistic crap too. It was really nice to see

Thanks for the extra info!
Saves the speculation. Instagram is one thing I don't really follow.
