Subject says it all.

Chaplain in terminator armor will be the first model kit to sell out. Second will be the new terminator kit. Then the new jump pack intercessors. Fourth will be the jump pack captain. The last kit to sell out will be the Company Heroes.

I give the codex and new index cards ... two hours.

I'm not sure about the dice? They are *really* nice looking, and "collector" items always go fast and I'm sure their stock is very limited but ... they are Ultramarine colors and I just can't see an Imperial Fist, Salamanders, or Raven Guard player being very interested in them? (I use Tabletop Tactics dice, shameless plug!).

In some perverse way I could see this becoming a gambling event in the future lol. Lay down your money nerds!

I dont think everything will sell out. The models are mostly cool, but so far none of them really seem like meta picks. I think that even if they sell out online, FLGSs will have stock.

I Was wrong. You brothers were right! I just checked and here on the US side its all still there even the limited edition codex. I ended up going with just the codex and cards. I'll pick up a couple of the new model kits once the dust settles and I can see their rules.

Very little of it is actually new.  Most of what they released this round is standalone kits for stuff from their value boxes.  The only Terminators they'll sell are to the people who want Heavy Flamers, and Missile Launchers.  I'd guess they get more movement out of the Jump Packers because people have been waiting for those for something like a decade - and without the eviscerators Heavy Assault option even they're going to be slower than they should be.

And with many people having gobs of assault intercessors, I could see them just eBay-ing some jump packs and calling it good. That's what I'm doing.

honestly, the only things I'm interested in are the brutalis and codex, and I probably won't be rushing out to get the brutalis for several months, maybe even a year.

I haven't finished building mine, need to do that. I thought it was fine, although perhaps I got a good batch for it given problems stated in the thread we had on that.

That said, it came out after the new 30k dreadnoughts, which I think have been a real step up as model kits. Whoever they have designing sprues and all for Horus Heresy is great, and the 40k vehicles/dreadnoughts haven't moved up to that quality yet.

Brutalis is a really cool model, shame it was so rubbish to build, easily the worst kit I’ve built in ages

Hopefully they have resolved this. The kit was an absolute nightmare - possibly the worst plastic kit I have ever assembled that came from GW.

I still can't believe they relegated those to Legends of the Horus Heresy.

I would much rather they had retired all the Squatnaughts and Rhino chassis tanks and included the Leviathan and Sicaran/Spartan models in the codex.

They could have just pivoted to the new Deimos Rhino chassis tanks as well. At least in some Death Guard showcases, they've used a Deimos Predator.

Either way, those kits are old and need to be redone, same with the Land Raider. Our opinions may differ on whether we like them as a concept, but I think it's undeniable that the base transports of most long-existing factions are past their time and need to be redone, whether that be the Rhino/Land Raider/Drop Pod, Wave Serpent or Devilfish.

The rhino kit will need to stick around regardless of its position in the SM codex, with Sisters, Chaos Marines, etc. using it.

Anyways, to be more back on topic, the models haven't sold out yet, which is great. Even better that the Codex/Cards haven't, which becomes a real problem when those are out of stock for months.

I'm looking forward to building the company heroes box and some more Sternguard, although those will all go to some Lamenters, as I'm not sure how Dark Angels/Space Wolves-based chapters will shake out yet with Sternguard, etc.

Preordered a Codex and Cards at the flgs yesterday. Bits for 20 GW jump packs are on the for the Intercessors and 9 Tartaris chainblades for Leviathan Terminators. I want the Jump Captain but that can wait until my grey pile of shame gets subdued a bit.
