What is the best faction to start 40k with in 10th edition? SWOT Chart Analysis

I don't really think anything is inherently wrong with this video but I do have a couple of noted.

Firstly I would start of with ranking clarity as I encounter alot of confusion when it comes to S tier. I understand it but I have had questions from several new players about what is S tier. Might be worth a quick graphic explaining your ranks as it is geared toward newer players.

Also, and this is just a me personally thing, I don't think including competitiveness of a faction is as helpful in a video like this. This is because of the time it takes to build an army and learn the game. This game is hard and unless you have hours and hours a week to dedicate to it it takes a good 6 months to really get into the swing of the game and build a decent force without dropping a ton of money upfront. That, coupled with the pace of the games changes recently, means your faction may be nerfed onto the ground or hit competitive S tier in that time frame and it is impossible to predict.

I feel more emphasis on loving your faction first and dealing with its game play flaws is a better approach for new players.

To follow up on this point: I think something like "iniitial investment utility" would be a better metric. Let's say someone does decide to go the tournament route or find themselves in a more competitive environment; how likely is it that the models a person originally bought will be useful?

There is a red flag in the question itself: "What is the best faction?"

It indicates the desire to first and foremost win battles and not the intention to create a good experience for both players as the social contract of a game dictates.

I would rephrase the question: "What would be a suitable faction for a beginner?"

Answer: Of course space marines. No skin and eyes to paint. Base colour, shade, highlight and you are done. Easy peasy. Chaos Space Marines disqualify themselves because of the atrocious trim to paint.

Of all my armies, Necrons were, by far, the easiest and quickest to paint and make look good.  I think that’s among the most important things for new players.  Jmo.

Necrons are by far the easiest to start with.

There are factions that are cheaper to put together, such as Custodes, but Necrons offer far more variety and potential to expand an army in many ways. They are also very easy to paint, and you can have a good looking army with less effort.

In mu opinion Space Marines are not the easiest army to start because the range is so massive, and divided piecemeal across so many sub factions that are updated at different times.
