I will be taking a break from painting Iron Hands for a while. So what to paint instead? Correct, removing the other half-painted, half-assembled pile of shame from my drawer. We have a Chaos Vindicator to show off:

More stuff has been painted or rebased (ten Nurglings, six Diaz Daemonettes and a Chaos Sister) but I still need to order specific tufts for them.

Currently working on five Rogue Trader era Chaos Terminators.

Like the vindicator - looks really nice - you've done a good job making it clearly nurgle while having the base colour not be brown or green, which gives it a distinctive look that I think is quite striking.

Burned Tufts arrived yesterday.

Chaos Sister with Daemon Gun (Wargames Exclusive). She will be good HQ material as she is one of the few models who wields a ranged daemon weapon. Perfect for equipping her with a Kai-Bolter (3rd 40K):

Sadly I have run out of barbed wire so my Nurglings and Daemonettes have to wait for next month.

I received today barbed wire from my "Christmas" order. So there was no reason not to use it right away. Nurglings & Diaz Daemonettes coming up:

Update:

I will soon work on these models:

Two bikes boxes arrived today along with plenty of other stuff and in the last days I was busy scraping off paint from Chaos Bikes whose paint jobs dates back to the 90s. Still one bike to go and ALL five bikers. Arrgh!

Anyway, the old Night Lord paint scheme has to go and will be replaced by what you have seen above: A dirty, vintage Death Guard theme.

You might now think: That´s just a waste of time because bikes have always sucked in 40K. Well, once those are finished I will be painting bikes and trikes for the Iron Hands and then I will have a specific scenario in which only those units battle each other. And it will work because it will be a ROLLING TERRAIN mission with maybe a few ideas from Gaslands sprinkled in to make the bikes feel like they are truly vehicles and not move around willy-nilly like the rest of the foot-slogging 40K stuff.

Edit:

Maybe I post this in "Work in progress" as this subforum has a low view number.
