So, I'm in a local league and we are starting with 750pts games, using leviathan deck.

My first match is against Astra Millitarium guy. He's bringing: Leontus, 2x 10 man shock troops. 1 Banenlade.

I have: JP Chapi, 2x 5 man DC with PF and IF, 2x 5 man scouts,  1x sniper Eliminators, 1x 3 man AssBolter Inceptors and 1x 5 man grav cannon and pistol devastators.

Any tips on how I should play?

First off, I hope you have plenty of sight blocking terrain... If you do then you need to be realistic about your chance of killing the Baneblade, versus your better scoring potential, especially if you can chew up the shock troops quickly (and leave Leontus open without a bodyguard) - the Baneblade won't be scoring many points on its own.

The assault bolter interceptors should be enough to utterly gut one of the shock troop squads, wipe it out with a bit of luck, deep strike turn 2 might be useful there.

Yeah I'd just dance around that baneblades sight profile as much as humanly possible. You're probably not taking it off the table but you can pretty easily dominate the scoring side of things.

Your opponent better be a buddy cuz otherwise their lost is such a dick move LOL. Not very friendly but also not exactly a winning list either. Is the hope to camp their deployment for the first two turns and hope to just shoot the enemy off the board with JUST the baneblade?  That's asking a lot out of one unit.

Just ignore the giant tank, slaughter the poor humans who got stuck with screening duty. Then you might be able to get the two Death Company squads in enough to slap on the tank, but I don't think that's gonna be enough to kill it tbh

I will say that 750 points is incredibly weird in this edition and I actively avoided it when I designed the rules for our escalation league at my LGS. Definitely ignore the big guy as much as possible. Dumping that much of your army into a big unit at that level is going to be problematic.

Your army is actually really good for 750 (which, as mentioned, is a horrible points level).  I just hope you're playing with good terrain.

Completely ignore the BB, and play the missions as much as possible.  Keep the rage in check, get the points.
