I dont trust GW would improve on Wyches honestly, and I think Warriors are near perfect.

When comparing them with newer kits I personally start to find wyches are really starting to age. And Im talking one of my long time favorite kits here ( though that too might have created some bias in the analysis.)

I often see people use the modularibility as something that will be lost, but it really isnt as much there with wyches as people make it out to be, the legs for example only come in 6 pairs (some are duplicates) that are not really interchangable (unless effort is made) and the torsos, while ball jointed, cannot be posed alot without it looking just weird from up close especially the bare bellied ones (wich I prefer painted as suit anyway), lastly the arms come over as quite rigid and are positioned slightly too high on the torso, there is copy-paste repetition on the pistol arms too.

While a lot of the newer GW kits look much better in hand over 2d photos.. wyches are one of those kits whose flaws are more apparent when you have the model in hand.

They dont look terrible or even bad, they still look good there is just plenty of room for improvement. ( high up my list being their hair; should have more volume and more eccentric.)

Kabalites are ok I guess, if not quite static and seemingly small compared to newer kits. ( I havent assembled any myself though.) they also clearly hail from a more "2d" era that metal miniatures had as well, in contrary to wyches who are I think the first kit to really explore usage of 3 dimensional space. ( maybe what I mean by this makes sense to no one but me.)

The Warriors and Wytches kits are almost 15 years old. Perfectly servicable they may be.

But its far past time for a refresh.

Look at all the basic troop kits GW have replaced in the last few years. Termagaunts, Hormaguants, Genestealers, Cadians, Legionnaires, Guardians etc. I'd say they were all marked improvements.

I see no reason why updated Dark Eldar models wouldn't be the same.

And if they are all dual builds as well, that would be incredible.

I agree Wyches haven't aged as well as kabalites and could do with a bit of a brush up. I think they would benefit from combined torsos and legs too with their sprinting/running poses. Personally I'd love to see them lose the weird skin loincloth they have, it's always looked a little awkward to me. Really though I think GW have got a lot of other things they could focus on in a Drukhari update and Warriors/Wyches needn't be a priority.

Outside of Heresy, where do non-Chaos NL even exist? Even the ABD trilogy featured a Chaos Influenced warband

Also to that point, First Claw were... pretty "young", all things considered. I forget exactly, but I believe it's mentioned in the third book that due to timey-wimey warp travel/residing in the Eye of Terror, it's only been around a century since the Siege of Terra for them. They're not that old.

I like this sculpt so much more than the current plastic model. The plastic kit looks appropriately arrogant while striking a pose but this model projects that while appearing more threatening in my opinion with that sword out in front of him. I painted this mini up once for a GW store owner that was leaving but I never painted it up for myself. To see this model reimagined in plastic would make me very happy.

Same, this is a great Archon. (Though the current Archon is Peter Serafinowicz, which is pretty neat too)
