What do you mean by Reaper? I can think of at least 3 different weapons with Reaper in their name.

The Gladiator Reaper Tank - the one that went from dropping something like 40 anti-infantry shots to more like 20 because the big twin turret dakka gun became twin linked instead of double the shots.  40 shots wounding on 3's and 4's is generally better than 20 wounding on 3/4 and rerolling.  The change more or less changed the "meta" for which Gladiator to pick.  They didn't really make all three equivalently valuable, they just changed which one is the clear winner.

I see. After doing the math, the canon on the gladiator reaper does 50% more wounds to marines in cover then it did in ninth (5.33 compared to 3.55)...

If it didn't have DW, it would also forces the same number of saves on targets like Ork Boyz. However, I will concede that even with the DW it does around 30% less overall damage than it used to, though much of that is because of the Orks having 5+ base save instead of 6+.

Sustained 2+TL+dev wounds seems to make up for those lost shots a lot more than you might expect, and the reaper seems to be a lot more of a generalist profile than it was. Not quite as good at shredding light infantry as it was, but certainly more potent against tougher targets!

Not really more potent against the tougher targets.   S6 AP0 D1 isn't going to be considered Potent vs TEQ and the like.  If you're taking a Tank for TEQ or "tougher targets" you're taking the Valiant with 4 MM and 2 Las Talon (Twin Linked) shots.   But honestly, you're not taking either of them.   You've got more efficiency out of Erads, Eliminators, Hellblasters, and so on.   Infantry rules (Cover, and movement, Multiple Models and Lost Wounds, OC per point, etc) combined with fewer points per shot leans heavily towards them than a tank.   The Repulsor with its 24A Repulsor Defensive Array, Onslaught and Twin HB could easily be ranked between efficient and more than efficient.  The Land Raiders, Predators and Gladiators not so much.  Aircraft and Land Raiders can shift into a good value per point if you're leaning into their other benefits: AIRCRAFT, FLY, TRANSPORT etc.   The Stormspeeders are still in a no-man's land of not efficient, but not horrible either.

I'm not suggesting it's ideal for "tougher targets," only that it's main canon is better against them in 10th than it was in 9th.

so if you took one and your opponent has no chaff, it's not completely worthless.

Well, all that talking about dreads made me buy a brutalis. There you have it, feel good now?

Only if you paint it black, white, & silver and slap a big gauntlet icon on the front.

I'm planning on making mine in Death Company colors, eventually.  Feels proper for a BA force!

You'll feel good when it brutally rip, stomp and tear trough the enemy battleline.

We can agree on black and silver, but I would slap some red crosses onto him

The weapons are swappable and I'll drill out the gun barrels later.

Whilst I said earlier, that I prefer the fists, the claws looked cooler in person. But as I said, everything is swappable, just to be safe...

Paladin,

It looks like you need to start a WIP thread, to share your work?

I already have a gallery thread in the Blood Angels subforum. here's a link.

Ordered some 3rd party bits for a brutalis, redemptor, and some heads and torsos. They're absolutely stunning and blew me away when they arrived!
