Hi there,

I haven't bought anything for the current edition of Kill Team yet, but I do have some Kill-Teams from later editions, and I would like to get back in. I already have the Killzone Essentials and the Tac Ops Cards Deck. Sotried to get an overview of where to find the Datasheets. There are quite a few book in the story right now, but from the outside, I can't tell, which Datasheets and Rules are in which book (and which books are outdated by now).

Soo … my question are:

* Which books are essential right now, besides the Core Rules.
* Is there an overview which Datasheets of a given Kill Team are to be found in which book/publication?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hello, which faction(s) are you wanting the rules for? The Compendium has 'get you by' lists/rules for Kill Teams from every faction, although a couple - Ad Mech and Thousand Sons - have officially been replaced; the new rules for those cam be found in the 2022 annual. Otherwise, the following books have the following Kill Team rules:

Octarius - Veteran Guardsmen (Krieg) & Kommandoz (Orks)

Chalnath - Novitiates (Sisters of Battle) & Pathfinders (Tau)

Nachmund - Legionaries (Chaos Marines) & Voidscarred (Eldar pirates)

Moroch - Phobos (Marines) & Blooded (Traitor Guard)

The rules for all of the Kill Teams released over the last 12 months, under the 'Into the Dark' season banner are in individual books too, but you can get them all in the 2023 annual:

Imperial Navy Breachers

Kroot Farstalker

Kasrkin (Astra Militarum)

Hierotek Circle (Necrons)

Adeptus Arbites Exaction Squad

Hand of the Archon (Dark Eldar)

Fellgor Ravagers (Beastmen)

Hearthkin Salvagers (Votann)

Inquisition Agents

There are also rules for an Intercession Squad (Marines) Kill Team that are free to download from WarCom.

I hope this helps!

Thanks! This helps indeed a lot! I have also been to my local Games Workshop yesterday and the Sergeant there said pretty much the same thing. Choose a Kill Team, then look, in which book it's Datasheets are.  :D

Ha! I made a chart, based on the Kill Teams listes on games-workshop: https://dark-and.grim.rocks/kill-team-datasheets-and-books/Links are not complete yet, and I cannot promise how long I'll keep it updated. But for now it helps me; and the kids I mostly play with. :D
