Tank shock and FNP

Hello all. Just after a bit of clarity as I couldn't find this in the rules. How does tank shock interact with a FNP save?

If tank shock caused more than 6 mortals would you have to FNP save all of them then just take a maximum of 6 failed saves?

Or would you just make saves on 6 and discarding any extra?

I suppose it's an order priority thing.

Thanks.

A unit can only ever suffer the 6 MW

Quote

For each 5+, that enemy unit suffers 1 mortal wound (to a maximum of 6 mortal wounds).

So:

You roll 10 Dice and get 7 5s and 6s

The enemy unit suffers 6 Mortal Wounds as that's the maximum from Tank Shock, the left over 1 is lost

They then roll FNP

Yea, there's a slight difference between MW's and damage, with each MW causing 1 damage. So at the 'see how many mortal wounds are inflicted' step, you roll the dice  and get a max of 6 MW's, each of which convert to 1 damage, and then you roll FNP against each point of damage inflicted.
