Valkyrion
I can't see if there's any advantage to having 2 melee weapons. e.g Thunderstrike Gauntlet and Reaper Chainsword on a Knight. Have I missed it? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/381840-2-melee-weapons/ Share on other sites
Matrindur
Rend says "for each weapon with the rend trait you get an additional D6 during a fight" So two melee weapons means two extra dice instead of just one Edited December 6, 2023 by Matrindur VanDutch, SkimaskMohawk, DuskRaider and 1 other 2 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/381840-2-melee-weapons/#findComment-6007711 Share on other sites
Valkyrion
That's it, smashing. Thanks! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/381840-2-melee-weapons/#findComment-6007715 Share on other sites
SkimaskMohawk
Nice, 4d6+8 sounds pretty solid, even if you miss out on the rather strong battle cannon/melta. Makes the clawlord less of a meme too with 4d6+14, and the iconoclast just....very hard to take down in melee. Valkyrion
It's a big defensive boon for sure. Dual rending Knights are averaging CAF20 with a range of 12-32. Once you get to 5 terminator stands, they are averaging CAF25, but obviously the Knight is killing most/all of the previous stands and can afford to lose combat twice. That's the limit of my maths, but in terms of tiny single minis, I think you are looking at around 40 terminators to take down a dual melee knight, and an Iconoclast is not for moving. DuskRaider
As a bonus, if you jump into Titanicus the dual CC Knight is probably the most effective in a Household other than the obligatory Porphyrion and Lancer.
