Hello all! I recently returned to 40K after about a 15 year hiatus.  I used to have a massive Catachan army, and one of my biggest regrets was selling it.  So I am starting over! Hope you all enjoy and don't find my painting too 90's but that was kind of my era, so I have a tendency to paint that way. This time around one of my main focuses is to make sure the basing is done well! I think the basing method I've come up with is working well.

No goblin green bases? Not 90s enough for me!

I seriously debated this!! It’s never too late!!!

Looks great! Not sure what you mean by “too 90s” but you’ve done a good job. The bases are really nice too.

Looking forward to seeing more!

Mostly just extreme highlighting and saturation of colours makes it 90s style. Hard to see right now, because I’m not using a lot of crazy colours. I use a lot of Vallejo game colour and monument pro acryl which have a ton of saturation. In the 90s we really did try our best to copy the heavy metal team, of course with varying results.

Speaking as a child of the nineties I’m loving these!

I grew up on films like Rambo and Predator so right up my street!

The basing is great, I think the added laser cut jungle plants will improve them even more.

What’s next on the painting table?

Thanks a bunch!  I have plans to build Sly and the Limited Edition Colonel (Predator Edition).  Once that is done I'm going to bide my time building heavy weapons teams waiting and hoping that a new catachan box gets launched in the next 6 months!
